Supplier Register
One register, three levels, checked by a person.
Every company that lists or trades on OceanSphere Parts sits somewhere in this register — from a company we have merely catalogued, to one whose paperwork, references and history we have checked ourselves.
Registered Supplier
The company account form is complete — brands, product groups, years in business, at least one reference, a bank name — and a person has checked the VAT or company register number.
Verified Supplier
A person went further: saw the company register extract, called a reference, held a video call with someone at the company.
Trading Partner
Reached automatically, overnight, from real trading history on the platform — never by request and never by payment. This is our highest trust level.
What we check
- Company registerThe company exists under the name given, in the country given.
- VAT number, where applicableChecked live against VIES inside the EU; outside the EU, against the register number and a document.
- Domain and mail routingThe work e-mail address belongs to the company's own domain, not a free mailbox.
- Sanctions listsChecked before a company is verified.
- ReferencesAt least one other company that confirms this is a real, trading supplier.
What we do not do
- No paid ranking A company cannot pay to rank higher or to skip a level. The top level cannot be bought.
- No shortcuts to Trading Partner That level comes only from trading history we can measure ourselves — never from a form, a fee or a request.
